Analysis and Forecasting. IMEMO Journal

The scientific electronic journal ‘Analysis and Forecasting. IMEMO Journal’ is published from 2019, 4 times a year, in Russian and English.

The Registration Certificate of the journal, EL # FC 77–76743 was issued by the Federal Communications, Information Technology and Mass Media Regulatory Authority on September 16, 2019.

ISSN: 2713-170Х (The Certificate of Registration in the National Center of ISSN and of Attribution of the International Standard Serial Number dated January 15, 2020).

The journal focuses on the comprehensive fundamental and applied analysis of world and regional economic, political and social development, as well as on global and regional military and non-military security in order to provide solutions for complex and long-term forecasting, improve and develop new forecasting technologies in social sciences.

The journal’s founder and publisher is the Federal State Budgetary Institution of Science ‘Primakov National Research Institute of World Economy and International Relations, Russian Academy of Sciences (IMEMO)’.

Thematic Profile

The journal follows the traditions of classical academic periodic publications. It aspires to become an all-Russian and international interdisciplinary intellectual forum to discuss theory and practices of analyzing and forecasting social, political and economic processes on a country, regional and global levels and consider new ideas and debatable problems of political and economic theory and methodology.

The choice of an electronic format for a scientific open-access journal stems from the need to create an open model for knowledge exchange in this thematic area.

The journal publishes original research articles, reviews and reports from scientific events organized by IMEMO or in partnership with IMEMO within the journal’s thematic areas.

The publication of the article is free of charge. The Editorial does not charge authors for preparing and publishing the materials on the journal’s website. All materials in Russian undergo an ‘Antiplagiat’ check, article in English are checked for plagiarism in Citation Machine and Turnitin, after that all the articles are sent to the reviewers. The journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge (open license Creative Commons ).
